Here is a youtube video of roy dean showing a few examples of side mount escapes. He talks about how lots of white belts mostly ask about getting out of the gaurd and the side mount. He covers the basic gi side mount escape, then the spinout (which I’ve tried and works if you get your timing right) and going to the knees and getting a triangle which is pretty neat.

I thought this might be a cool little video for those that know much about Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Its a nice demo lasting just about 4 minutes long with a lot of tournament techniques. Heres a quote from the youtube page:
